About: The Band
Toronto based POP CHERRY is a burnin' rock-outfit whose main influences include The Stones, The Doors, Aerosmith, Headed by front-man Joey Varone, (former lead singer of Polygram recording artist The Dice).
POP CHERRY recorded their debut album "STRAIGHT UP", with veteran producer Mark S. Berry, who's gold and platinum production credits include L.A., The Headstones, I Mother Earth, The Killjoys, David Bowie, and many more. Special guest appearances on the album include Burton Cummings, whose jangling piano propels the band into rock n' roll wonderland.
POP CHERRY will be hitting up rock radio this summer with their initial single and video "Where Did I Go Wrong" and backing it with a U.S. and Canadian tour. Joey and company are 100% about their live show and getting the energy from the stage and into fans and listeners alike. To quote Joey "We love to get in people's faces and rock their world!"

Joey Varone - Lead Vocalist
Lead singer for Polygram recording artists The Dice (1993-97) Recorded/wrote original Pop Cherry album "Straight Up" (2002) with guest artist Burton Cummings. Joey has been covering such bands as the Rolling Stones - the Doors - Aerosmith - vocals for over 20 years.
